The myth called 'Luck'.

Almost crunch time for the last exam! Going over revision, its looking quietly positive. Don't wanna bring any bad luck to it, but its going okay so far. I've been abit squeezed for time for social reasons, but i'll find a way to hit the exam out the park! Luck is something we all like to have, but I hear wise words that say, 'You create your own luck'. I find that to be true. And i've been a very lucky person, and of late, i've been given opportunities that could potentially see me progress.

Perseverance > Progression > Perfection.

Luck is not in that equation. If Lady Luck aids me, than let her shall.

Summer Scorcher!

Summers officially here! Well, for everyone else anyway! I'm still stuck in my prison cell revising for my exams, don't finish til the 2nd of June! Only a week or so to go, but it still hurts to be hiding from the sun while everyone goes out to 'play'. Well, at least i won't turn dark if i stick to my guns and do some work.

The master of mind games. The chief. The Gaffa. The Manager. The Best.

Jose Mourinho added another title to his collection of achievements today, as he won the Champions League title for Inter Milan (who have not lifted the trophy for 45 years). Being the second time he has won the title (previously with Porto in '04) he has won all there is to win in the Italian game. Inter done the treble by winning Serie A and the domestic cup. Rumours have it he's jetting off to Real Madrid.

I think he deserves to be at the top of the footballing world, and he can probably be proclaimed as the best manager in the modern game. He even goes up against the longest serving manager in the Premier League Mr Sir. Alex Ferguson. Mourinho's style of confidence, style and winning mentality emulates the characteristics of Muhammed Ali, Mayweather Jnr and even Cristiano Ronaldo. Alot of people probably dislike the manner in which he does his job - maybe abit too cocky - but that's just the way he is. There's no doubt he cannot back up his talk, his achievements can confirm his gob and his wit.

I think it's fair to say that the Premier League do miss such a character, but we will definitely hear his ego and character spread across the footballing world anytime soon, whether it is in Milan or in Madrid.

Dwayne Michael Carter, Jnr. Aka. Lil Wayne.

So, i mentioned possibly the best rapper alive in a blog previously, but didn't write much. Possibly because I wasn't ready at the time to commit to such an important blog on my page at the time. This is for the self-proclaimed best rapper alive, LIL WAYNE! His unique appeal and his individualism makes him his own, in his own catergory, in his own world, a world far from one that we are from.

What makes this guy the success he is? I don't want to go into his history, you can do that yourself.

But this guy is inspirational for what he represents. He has grinded his way in the game from knee high to today, and is the definition of 'perseverance'. He probably has as much unreleased material as Tupac, and he's still alive. His lyrical content has developed alot through the time and his freestyle ability without the need to write is sensational. I haven't been a fan since day one, but i heard the global hype at around Tha Carter II, and got a copy of Tha Carter 3 when it came out through a friend recommendation. And boy, was I amazed.



All his songs can stand alone, and he leaves his heart on the tracks. What's scary, is the fact that he has alot more where that came from. A mind full of thoughts, a mind full of rhymes, he is dominating the rap game today. Despite being in prison for previous gun charges, he has worked hard to make his presence felt even when he's locked inside.

So why have i decided to talk about the phenomenon today? Quite simply, his music inspires me to work AS hard as him. Its funny how music motivates people to do certain things. His perseverance can be felt through his music, his determination and belief that he IS the best can be felt through his lyrics and voice. His self-confidence is out of this world. And as long as he stays that way, i'll be addicted to listening to his music to keep working myself.

A Kid Named Cudi - Again.

Its rare that you see a Converse campaign, but this one caught my attention. Not only because it's converse, but because it has the artist i've been hooked on lately Mr Kid Cudi.



Just another point, cop his mixtape! I didn't appreciate all the songs on there when I first got it, I simply blasted 'Day N Nite' out my car thinking, 'man, i'm sick!' But now listening to it on my iPhone, the songs are so unique and strange, yet, i feel i'm on the same wavelength with him. Couple big tunes on there include

But that's my selection, i'd gladly go through the whole album. Not once have i said that about an album, apart from probably College Dropout, Uncle B or Tha Carter III. Even so, get it while you can, its dead cheap!

I should really cop his album to support the movement. Time Soon Come Yah?!

Arsenal + Barca = Frustration

A little birdie tells me that Arsenal skipper Cesc Fabregas is leaving Arsenal for Barcelona - where have we all heard that before? (cough* Thierry *cough) Rumours have been speculating long, long ago and obviously all Arsenal fans were reassured that these were just rumours. It was simply the same situation with Monsieur Thierry Henry - Arsenals greatest player.

Fabulous Fabregas is going to go. Lets face it, he wants to sort his future out before the World Cup, and who's to blame him? I would do the exact same thing before such a big tournament. Why play in doubt of not knowing where you're playing next season when you're on the biggest stage of them all. Funny thing is, he's got an Arsenal contract, and a future ahead of him. So why is he leaving? I remember him saying he wanted to help the youth project that Mr Wenger has been working on for so long, and wanted to be a central part in a 'developing team' win silverware. So, why is this guy, captain of the Gunners, 'apparently' asking permission to leave for arguably the best team in the world?! Fair shout, its an amazing opportunity, but with such temptations from bigger clubs taking away our players, what example is that making for the young guns? As soon as a big club come calling, you just jump ship? It just frustrates me as an Arsenal fan to see our big guns go to better teams, and leave us constantly developing players and accepting being there just for the sake of it.

It just annoys me having to 'reminisce' about the golden age, where we were dubbed 'The Invincibles", being unbeaten all season! Where did it go wrong? Well, Cole got greedy, Vieira went to Juve, Edu, Pires, Ljungberg, Campbell, Lauren, Lehmann, all went, and eventually, Henry. The team paved way for the young ones to fill the boats. Nothing good lasts forever, but, we're just not winning anything. Wengers formula for 'development' seems to have passed its sell-by- date as the game has changed. Money is, unfortunately, required to strengthen the teams of today. Fair do's - Arsenal are an established, solid top four team. But are we just gonna accept qualifying for a tournament in which we will not succeed in with 'developing players'? Arsenal fans are possibly the most patient fans in the world. But Mr Wenger, the genius that you are, the formula of the Invincibles team needs to be updated, edited, and apply to the modern game of today.

So, if Fabregas goes, I won't be surprised. I wish him the best of luck. He has the ability to be amongst the best, and undoubtedly he deserved to be amongst the elite. As an Arsenal fan, im disappointed that such a thing is happening once again. As a Fabregas fan, I support the move. We shall wait and see what developments occur.

Pre Season

So, i've been going gym almost four times a week now, and it feels good! I personally don't see a physical change in my shape, but apparently it's looking good! Probably cos i see myself everyday, so im oblivious. Either way, it's got me motivated and, i'm glad i've had the motivation to keep going, thanks to my boy Louie who's helping with my training, and Tai aswell who doesn't come that often anymore, but when he does it's nice to have that little competition.
Training pretty much consists of two days working arms, shoulders, chest and back, while the other two days purely on legs. Cardio is always put in there somewhere for warm ups/warm downs, so every area is covered to an extent. But when Louie finishes his year, it's gonna be me training solo! Uh-Oh?! I should be okay to keep going, i'm gonna challenge myself for it anyway, be an independent trainer, see how long i last.



All this training has got me wanting to come back to football again. Now the seasons over, i'm willing to start training pre-season to get myself in football shape again. Gonna have to get myself a new pair (being the girl that I am) and start pinging them footballs into the net, get the free kicks on point again, and get the sprints faster. As the summer season is almost upon us, all the reason to start kicking ball again!
