New Years Eve/Day 2010
2010 seems to be going faster than Usain Bolt. The more i think about it, the quicker the dates go past. So how can I reflect on the year so far? Well, it's been a mad one, full of jokes, full of surprises, full of laughter. I haven't really had any serious down points so far thanks to the people I have around me, at home and at uni. 2010 looks like its on the right tracks (touch wood). I'm almost at the end of an interesting first year at uni, alot has changed from September 2009. I'm not the same guy I used to be, so i think. I'm loving the freedom and independence out here, although im still lacking organisation with uni work and social life and work. I'm just ploughing along. Oh well, they say the first year is the year to have fun, and I sure as hell did that. I've met a whole bunch of characters out here, and have learnt many lessons.
Enough of the past. Heres a few reasons why i'm looking forward:
1) New house! - Still in the works, but hopefully the new place for next year should be the place to be
2) I'm coming home - I've missed the family loads, can't wait to munch the mother's beef and rice, the wise words with all the older sisters, the pranks on the little sis and the nephew/niece and the usual lectures from the dad.
The fam-a-lam
Me and my goofy sister Jugs aka Chi 'Bong'. The stupidity levels are dangerous when together.
3) JD Massive - Shout out to the 172 family, hopefully i'll be back this summer - if there's a spot!
4) The old school lot - Wonder what new shenanigans you guys have been coming up with lately...
5) FIFA WORLD CUP! - I don't need to emphasize this point really, do I?
6) A holiday - would be nice! Need to pay a visit to the sun, sea and sands
7) All them birthdays and nights out, BBQ's and everything else in the Summer
A couple targets for the rest of 2010, it's still early, but watch, it'll fly:
1) Keep going to the gym - Jesus, don't know how i'm still at that place! But it's in routine, just need to maintain
2) Get back to football - i'd rather kick a ball on a Sunday afternoon than slave myself in a footwear stockroom... anyday.
3) Hit the books, hard - I have a reputation of 'winging it' far too often. It's a formula i'm gonna have to change in order to succeed, seriously.
4) No more overnighters - those nights will be the death of me. (p.s. overnighters refer to a last minute assignment efforts just a night before the deadline - overnighters such as clubbing/nights out are excluded from this point)
5) Recovery - as much as I like to think i'm a Vietnamese Clark Kent, I do need the zzZZzzz's in at some point.
6) New job - pretty please...
